Life in Cartagena was full of energy; music, dancing, clubs, history, children. But on the 15th floor on my balcony in my hammock, there was nothing but me and the Caribbean stretched out before me and the sound of the waves lulling me into the place you go to when the mind shuts up. I hope you will be in that place too when you look at this painting.
