There is a marsh named Muzzy Marsh in Corte Madera, Ca. USA, near where I lived at the time I painted this. I used to watch the marsh from a window where I worked, and loved the way it changed from green to bright orange in the season. This is an impression of the marsh, a close-up if you will, of nature at her playful best.
