Cane fields are ubiquitous in southern Louisiana. In the season, usually before the winter holidays, cane fields are burnt to remove extraneous foliage and make harvesting easier. It is beautiful to see at night, and the smell is the smell of the holidays for me. So this is a little cane field on fire.
